Specialized Training
I am a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer with expertice in working with people affected by Parkinson Disease. Research shows that exercise can slow the progression of Parkinson Disease. While staying active is always wise, I am trained in specialized programs that help retrain muscles to create more neuroplasticity in your brain -- meaning new parts of your brain are engaged in the activity. I am certified in both LSVT BIG® and PWR Moves!®
I also incorporate a vigorous vocal workout while exercising the entire body. This helps recalibrate the voice and loudness, both of which can be diminished by Parkinson's. Loud counting, skipping numbers, counting backwards, or even counting in a foreign language help engage the brain, voice, and body all in one invigorationg workout that brings great results.

Rigidity in the spine and muscles often occur. I do full massage sessions as well as little reward-between-exercises rubdowns of the shoulders and back while the we do Warrior Breathwork. The deep breathing helps calm the mind and body, lessening tremors and allows for a positive completion of a wonderful workout.
